According to authorities and his relatives, an age 25 Houston man who had disappeared when he was a teen eight years ago was apparently located alive on Saturday, suffering from cuts and bruises throughout his body.
Rudy Farias, who was declared missing in 2015, was unexpectedly reunited with his relatives on Saturday, as stated in a surprising update tweeted by the Texas Center for the Missing on Sunday.

Farias, aged 17 at the time, vanished as he was strolling with his two canines close to his relatives’ residence. As per an organization dedicated to locating missing individuals, although the dogs returned to the house, Farias never did.

The man is presently in the medical center following the intervention of kind-hearted individuals who dialed emergency services upon observing him motionless near a place of worship, as per statements from his mother, as reported.
Farias had bloodied hair along with cuts and bruises, his mother said to KTRK.
His mother also affirmed to KPRC that her son was in a “poor condition” mentally and physically, yet she was appreciative to have him returned.
During his vanishing, he experienced anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder, as noted by Texas EquuSearch back in 2015.
“It is possible he is disoriented as he has not been taking his medication,” the organization wrote at the time when they launched a search to find Farias.
The family mentioned in 2015, as reported by NBC News, that his brother had died in a motorbike accident several years prior to his disappearance.
“He watched his best friend die right in front of him,” private investigator Brenda Paradise who was hired by the family stated in 2015.
Rudy Faris’ mom mentioned that he consistently donned a necklace that belonged to his brother. His mother Janie Santana mentioned that Farias, who has hardly uttered words since being discovered, continues to cling onto the necklace that holds sentimental value.
She stated that he can only utter a handful of words before curling up into a fetal-position.
Texas EquuSearch director Tim Miller said the recent development is a miracle.
Miller said that, “how did this happen? We believe in miracles and this certainly was a miracle. I can’t even tell you how many times we searched and how many leads and tips came in and they just kind of faded away and now all of a sudden, this.”
Miller additionally stated that there are questions abound circulating presently in relation to Farias’ comeback.
“There’s a lot to investigate to kind of see what happened, where it happened, how it happened,” Miller added.
During a Monday update, the Houston authorities also mentioned that Farias’ relatives seemingly spotted him in 2018, although the sighting did not lead the police to finding the disappeared young man.
The mother of Farias has expressed her belief that her son, who was experiencing bleeding from his head upon discovery near a place of worship, may have endured abuse.
Officials initially did not suspect any wrongdoing when he disappeared.
