South Carolina Man Charged with Lighting Girlfriend on Fire with Gasoline
(The AEGIS Alliance) – A man from South Carolina has been accused of setting his girlfriend on fire. He turned himself in after a warrant was issued for him.
Larry Dean Brown Jr. age 28, is accused of pouring gas on his girlfriend and then lighting her on fire. The warrant for his arrest was issued by the Domestic Violence of a High Aggravated Nature and Arson. This is a first-degree charge. He turned himself into the police after the warrant was issued.
The victim of the crime was able to go into the bathtub and put out the fire. She is expected to live and recover.
The brother of the victim told the police that she drove herself to the hospital and then was admitted into the burn center.
While she will have scarring and faces some challenges to recover she will live.
Due to the severity of the burns, the victim did not give any specific details about the incident. She did speak to the police over the phone and allow them to take pictures of her injuries.
