Memphis mother arrested for fighting her son at school, chasing students with knife

(The AEGIS Alliance) – A Memphis, Tennessee woman, age 34, was taken into custody after being accused of engaging in a physical altercation with her son at a school and then chasing after other students while wielding a knife.

As reported by WREG-TV, on Thursday, February 9th, the Memphis Police Department was summoned to Booker T. Washington High School after receiving a call about Tameka Triplett. It is claimed that she parked her car in the school’s parking lot and then pursued some students. The reason for her visit to the school was reportedly to engage in a fight with her son.

According to WREG, a conflict broke out between Tameka and her son and a school official intervened by deploying pepper spray to break it up.

Shelby County Jail records indicate that Tameka Triplett was charged with carrying a weapon on school grounds and interfering with/altering evidence. Her bail has been set at $50,000.

As reported by WREG, her son received a citation as a juvenile and is currently under the care of his aunt.
