‘Sex slave’ escapes after 14 years locked inside a dungeon by abusive psycho
A purported Russian “psycho” reportedly confined a woman for 14 years in an improvised underground chamber, subjecting her to brutal assaults and over a thousand instances of sexual abuse. Additionally, he stands accused of slaughtering another woman.
51-year-old Vladimir Cheskidov was taken into custody in the Chelyabinsk area located in the distant Ural Mountains subsequent to the flight of a 33-year-old woman, known solely by the name Ekaterina, from his residence in the village of Smoleno on Monday.
The lady informed the authorities that Cheskidov had confined her since 2009, permitting her to leave a locked room with windows secured by bars solely to carry out household tasks under the threat of a knife.
In addition, Ekaterina asserted that she had undergone frequent torment and was severely assaulted for even the slightest wrongdoing.
Local media outlets reported that Cheskidov’s one-story residence was searched, resulting in the discovery of an assortment of adult toys, restraints, and compact discs containing explicit material.

In a hearing on Tuesday to determine custody, Cheskidov, appearing weary and unkempt, became emotional and refuted any allegations of misconduct. He informed the judge that he and Ekaterina had a “mutual love” towards each other. However, the police were informed by the victim, who is 33 years old, of a completely different narrative.
As per Ekaterina, her distressing experience commenced during an autumn evening in 2009. At that time, she was 19 years old and encountered Cheskidov, who was 37 years old at the time, at a bus station located in the urban area of Chelyabinsk.
According to the woman, Cheskidov extended an invitation for her to visit his place and have drinks. However, upon arrival, he purportedly brandished a knife toward his visitor and proclaimed that she was now under his control.

According to the Telegram channel Shot, the man allegedly sought out a young lady to abduct, specifically targeting someone who would probably not attract attention if they went missing. Hence, he selected Ekaterina, who hailed from a financially disadvantaged background, possessed an unattractive appearance, and walked with a hobble due to her congenial clubfoot.
According to Ekaterina’s statement to the authorities, she remained confined to a bedroom for the majority of the following 14 years, with a sturdy barn padlock ensuring her captivity.
Cheskidov permitted her release solely for tasks such as food preparation, tidying, and tending to his aged parent. However, during these instances, she claimed that her abductor would trail closely behind, wielding a blade, to prevent any attempts at fleeing.

Based on local reports, Cheskidov, who is currently jobless, would consistently gag Ekaterina and bind her to a support column whenever he stepped out of the residence, preventing her from seeking aid or attempting an escape.
During her conversation with investigators, Ekaterina disclosed that Cherkisov engaged in repeated acts of sexual assault against her. Although she couldn’t provide an exact count of such incidents throughout the years, she approximated the occurrences to exceed a thousand, as per Shot’s report.
Additionally, Ekaterina asserted that Cheskidov coerced her into consuming alcoholic beverages and brutally assaulted her in such an intense manner that it resulted in her memory loss regarding the contact details of her family members.
Ekaterina’s dad passed away prior to her birth, and she tragically lost her mother while she was just an infant. In the vicinity, she has an elder sibling who allegedly took 9 years to inform authorities about her disappearance.
During the interrogation, the individual of 33 years old informed law enforcement that at a certain moment, Cheskidov accompanied another lady to his residence and presented her as his “wife” — even though the fresh arrival, who goes by the name Oksana, subsequently confessed to Ekaterina that she and Cheskidov were not legally wed.
In the court hearing held on Tuesday, Cheskidov’s mother informed the judge that her son is lawfully wedded to a lady from Ekaterinburg. Although the couple hasn’t lived together for a long time, they have not obtained a legal separation.

In 2011, Oksana and Cheskidov supposedly engaged in a dispute, during which the woman attempted to summon assistance. Provoked, Cheskidov reportedly wielded a blade and mercilessly assaulted Oksana, ultimately resulting in her demise.
According to Ekaterina’s account, the individual who took her captive proceeded to coerce her into assisting him in dismembering the female’s corpse and packing the fragments into a sizable container. Then, the captor concealed the container in the underground cellar.
This week, an examination conducted on the remains discovered on Cheskidov’s land revealed that the individual potentially met their demise due to a stabbing.
This week, Ekaterina’s worst dream finally concluded as Cheskidov, who had been consuming alcohol excessively in recent times, experienced a psychotic episode triggered by his excessive drinking.
His mother, perhaps concerned about her own well-being, summoned assistance, resulting in him being taken to a mental healthcare facility.

During the chaos, it is said that the individual, who is 51 years old, unintentionally neglected to secure the entrance after leaving. His mother encouraged Ekaterina to flee, emphasizing the importance of her departure, saying “She might not get another chance.”
Upon exiting the dwelling where she had been confined for a span of 14 years, Ekaterina ventured forth to locate her sibling, whom she discovered dwelling in close proximity. Consequently, the sister proceeded to summon the relevant law enforcement agencies.
On Tuesday, the judge declared Cheskidov capable of standing trial and instructed that he be imprisoned for a duration of two months. In contrast, his mother was set free.

Addressing the press near the legal building, Cheskidova, a bereaved ex-employee of a mental health facility, stated that Ekaterina had formed a strong attachment to her son and resided alongside him of her own accord.
She further mentioned that the purported victim acted like royalty, rejecting any responsibilities or pursuit of employment.
Residents of the village characterized Cheskidov as a solitary individual who was frequently observed in an intoxicated state, either staggering about with a lowered hood or observing youngsters at the nearby playground.
The individual, aged 51, possesses a previous record of criminal activities, encompassing a conviction for robbery in 1989. Should Cheskidov be proven guilty of murder and the accompanying allegations, he might face a sentence of 25 years behind bars within a correctional facility.
