Cleveland woman disappears days before she was due to testify in rape case
The police in Cleveland, Ohio are persistently looking for a woman who went missing and is in danger. She vanished while getting something from her vehicle during the weekend.
At around 6 p.m. on May 6, Lachelle Jordan left her residence on Fairport Avenue and did not return inside, as disclosed by the Cleveland Police. She was wearing tie-dye pants, an East Cleveland Fire Department sweatshirt, and rainbow Crocs when she was last seen. On May 11, the Cleveland Police declared that Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County is offering a $5,000 reward for information, “if it is established that this pertains to illegal activity.”
According to WJW-TV, Jordan, an EMS worker in Cleveland, was set to appear as a crucial witness at a pretrial hearing for Michael Stennett earlier this week. Court documents reveal that Stennett is facing charges of abduction and two counts of rape. On May 8, Jordan was taken into custody for allegedly violating a protection order while committing a felony and engaging in menacing behavior through stalking.
Stennett was apparently spotted several times by Jordan in the vicinity of her residence. Moreover, it is said that he pursued her while she was on duty. Furthermore, one of Jordan’s relatives purportedly discovered a bullet hole in one of her windows.
According to WKYC-TV, Jordan changed her job location because she was afraid of being followed.
