Man gets hand chopped off by attacker’s sword on California street

On Saturday night, a homeless suspect wielding a sword chopped off the hand of a man from California.

Officials reported that police in Riverside, situated 55 miles east of Los Angeles, were informed of an incident involving a medieval dismemberment after multiple residents contacted 911 to report a severed hand found on a downtown neighborhood sidewalk at approximately 10:30 p.m.

As per the police, a man who lacked a hand arrived at a nearby hospital shortly after and informed the doctors that someone had inflicted the injury by using a sword to swing at him.

According to officials, Riverside detectives were still investigating the identity of the suspect and no arrests had been made yet.

According to authorities, the victim, who is in his 60s, and the assailant are both homeless, and the sword attack is believed to have resulted from a disagreement that has been ongoing.
