Olympic swimmer Scott Miller arrested in big drug bust

(The AEGIS Alliance) – Olympic swimmer Scott Miller has been arrested in connection with a $2-million drug bust near Sydney, Australia, News.com.au reported.

The age 45 athlete was one among two men picked up by authorities on Tuesday morning Australian time. The report stated Miller and a 47-year-old man had been detained after methylamphetamine or “ice’, was discovered hidden inside candles.

Aussie authorities started a crackdown on the drug within the New South Wales area earlier this year. Miller was picked up in his waterfront residence in Rozelle. The suburb has a reputation for its popular pubs.

Miller received silver and bronze medals during the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta, Georgia. He was married to “Australia Top Model” judge Charlotte Dawson from 1999 to 2000. Dawson committed suicide in 2014.
