Maskless customer kicked out of restaurant returns to steal food at gunpoint
(The AEGIS Alliance) – PASADENA, CALIFORNIA – Police are trying to find a gunman who stole food from Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles restaurant in Pasadena after workers say he was told to leave for refusing to put on a mask Wednesday evening.
Officers responded to the armed robbery at Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles on Lake Avenue at around 5:40 p.m., Pasadena Police Lt. Marcia Taglioretti told KTLA.
A restaurant cook says the man was instructed to leave after he refused to wear a mask. But not long afterward he returned with a gun and “wasn’t there for the money.”
“The guy just said, ‘Put all the chicken in the bag,'” Robert Gonzalez said to KTLA. “I understand we got some good chicken, but man.”
The man ultimately made off with a couple of orders that had been ready to be picked up, Gonzalez mentioned. Gonzalez stated he noticed the gunman flee in an awaiting vehicle that a woman was driving.
