Unstable man slashes NYC commuter shortly after pair assaults rider with box cutter

During the morning rush on Thursday, a man who was reportedly “acting strange” on a train in Brooklyn slashed a fellow passenger in the neck and stomach, according to authorities.

According to authorities, a heated exchange on board an R train at DeKalb Avenue resulted in injuries to a male victim in his thirties around 9:30 a.m.

An NYPD representative stated, “It appears that there was a conversation regarding the perpetrator behaving oddly.”

Authorities report that a pair of females assaulted a commuter on an A train near Nostrand Avenue after he called them out for smoking.

According to the authorities, the patient was attended to at Methodist Hospital and is anticipated to recuperate.

Following the assault, the perpetrator, characterized by their dreadlocked hairstyle, fled the scene.

According to authorities, the occurrence transpired shortly after a distressing subway assault in Brooklyn where two females attacked a passenger with a box cutter after he called them out for smoking on the train.

According to authorities, while riding a southbound A train approaching Nostrand Avenue at around 9:50 p.m. on Tuesday, a male aged 45 requested the women to cease smoking.

According to authorities, the pair brandished a boxcutter and proceeded to strike the individual in the back of the head with an unidentified item.

The NYPD has released a video depicting one of the females displaying a sign of peace. The origin of the video remains unknown to law enforcement officials.

Subsequently, the duo absconded from the train station.

Despite having a laceration on his head, the victim declined any medical assistance.

As of Thursday, there have been no apprehensions.
