My daughter heard ‘monsters’ in the wall, what we discovered was something from a horror movie

Those walls would most likely be yelling if they could speak.

According to a viral TikTok video that received 9.1 million views, a mother was shocked and appalled to learn that the “creatures” her daughter had been hearing were actually a colossal colony of 50,000 honeybees living inside their walls.

The caption for the video said, “What nightmares are made of,” as Ashley described how her house was bugged out.

The video that follows starts with a thermal camera pointed at her daughter’s room wall, displaying a large orange patch that is the result of the heat from the hive.

Then the screen lifts to reveal a huge hole in the wall and bees buzzing around the room, evoking a scene from the eerie 1992 movie “Candyman.”

In the video, Ashley states, “When your daughter has been hearing ‘monsters’ in the walls.” She continued, “It turns out that 50,000 bees were buzzing.”

A lot of people were agitated by the mother’s makeshift bee farm, with many wondering how she managed the buzzing intruders.

According to a later update, on the second day, the bee expert removed an extra 20,000 unwanted insects and sealed off the wall to prevent any stinging incidents.

The mother described in a different video how the bees built a honeycomb big enough to fill a garbage bag that weighed over 100 pounds over the course of eight months. It needed to be wrapped tightly in three layers of bags as the outer layer began to deteriorate.

Ashley said, “It only takes a couple bees and a swarm that you might not be able to see to become a colony that’s 50,000 bees,” in response to her fans’ questions about how she missed the vast insect city being built beneath her roof.

But that was only the start of the problem with insect invasion: Ashley described finding another group of bees inside the walls of the house, complete with a queen bee, in a different video. This group needed to be removed by another expert in beekeeping.

When the swarm was finally exterminated, their house was covered in honey and looked like one big cookie.

A different video announcement claimed that the insurance company would not reimburse the costs because it was “unrelated to the property,” further inflicting insult to injury.

Commenters felt sorry for Ashley in her uncomfortable circumstances.

One person said sympathetically, “I would honestly rather have monsters in the wall than to have 50k bees,” while another said, “I would cry before knowing it was bees.”

A few told their friends stories about these little honey makers breaking into their homes.
