(The AEGIS Alliance) – An elementary school teacher was apprehended by police at his place of work in Anaheim on Wednesday early morning after being suspected of child porn possession, authorities stated.
39-year-old Joseph William Page was arrested at Guinn Elementary School, where he educates the 6th grade, an Anaheim Police Department press release said.
Page was jailed and his bond is set at $25,000.
The teacher is implicated in child pornography possession after he was identified during the course of an internet investigation. Police carried out a search warrant at the suspect’s Anaheim home, however, they did not offer particulars about what was potentially discovered.
“Detectives are not commenting on the amount or specific nature of the suspected child pornography images,” the release explained.
On placing the suspect under arrest at the school, authorities described they ultimately had sufficient evidence to arrest Page on Wednesday which they didn’t intend to waste at any time while recognizing the suspect is actually an educator.
However, detectives specified they don’t think any students had been victims.
Still, cops are advising parents whose children are students at the school to speak with their kids, particularly those that might have had exposure to Joseph William Page.
