Serial killer Ramon Alberto Escobar suspected of killing child sex offender cellmate

(The AEGIS Alliance) – Authorities suspect that Ramon Alberto Escobar, a serial killer who is currently imprisoned, murdered his new cellmate at North Kern State Prison in Delano, California.

The victim, Juan Villanueva, was found unresponsive in their shared cell and was later pronounced dead at a prison treatment facility.

Villanueva had been serving a life sentence with a chance of parole for sexually assaulting a child under the age of 14 in Los Angeles County.

The incident is being investigated as a homicide, and prison officials have restricted movement in the area where the attack occurred.

Escobar is the primary suspect in the killing and has been placed in restricted housing while the investigation is ongoing.

Escobar is serving life in prison without the possibility of parole for a 2018 crime spree in which he killed five men and injured seven others, mostly homeless individuals.

Escobar’s victims were attacked with either a baseball bat or bolt cutters, and all but one were homeless.
