Former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid Confirms: Federal Government Covered Up UFOs For Years
(The AEGIS Alliance) – Former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said the United States government has been covering up revealing information about UFOs for years.
“Why the federal government all these years has covered up, put brake pads on everything, stopped it, I think it’s very, very bad for our country,” Reid stated in a new documentary from director James Fox called “The Phenomenon.”
“Are you saying that there’s some evidence that still hasn’t seen the light of day?” James Fox asked.
Reid responded and said, “I’m saying most of it hasn’t seen the light of day.”
The documentary examines the history of UFO sightings in the U.S. and around the world. It includes revealing new information about encounters the military has confirmed regarding off the coast sightings that involve U.S. Navy pilots. It also goes into detail about a 1967 report where an object appeared above a U.S. missile base at the exact moment 10 of the base’s missiles suddenly became disabled and inoperative.
“If they had been called upon by the president to launch, they couldn’t have done it,” Reid mentioned in the documentary.
Reid was one of the lawmakers who were active in a classified but since-closed U.S. government UFO program. Reid has become more outspoken about the phenomena since he left office. However, Reid wouldn’t confirm the existence of other-worldly activity, and wrote in a July tweet that he wants the issue studied and said “we must stick to science, not fairy tales about little green men.”
Reid continued making that point of view in the new documentary.
“Nobody has to agree why it’s there. But should we at least be spending some money to study all these phenomena?” Reid asked. “The answer is ‘yes.’”
UFO expert Lee Speigel is a co-writer and co-producer of the documentary and said it took seven years for the film to come to fruition.
“Whether you’re a UFO ‘believer’ or debunker, those in-between or still undecided, it’s important to present accurate information that potentially affects the national security of all nations and the safety of all citizens of our planet,” Spiegel stated.
