Las Vegas man allegedly fatally assaulted another man then ate his eyeball and ear

A horrific incident unfolded on the Las Vegas Strip early Sunday morning, leaving one man dead and another in custody.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a call reporting a violent altercation on the 1100 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard arrived around 4:44 am. Witnesses reported a man, later identified as Colin Czech (31), throwing another man to the ground. The situation escalated further when Czech allegedly began inflicting brutal facial injuries on the victim at a nearby bus stop.

Responding officers discovered the scene and both individuals. A report from KLAS-TV states that Czech displayed “biological matter” on his hair, mouth, and clothing. He reportedly claimed the victim attacked him first.

The victim, identified by KLAS as Kenneth Brown, sustained significant head trauma and lost an eye. Despite medical intervention at a local hospital, Brown succumbed to his injuries.

KLAS reports that Czech exhibited erratic behavior while in custody, including periods of unconsciousness. During questioning, he allegedly confessed to being homeless and sleep-deprived for several days due to a perceived demonic possession.

Disturbing details emerged from documents obtained by KLAS, stating that Czech admitted to “gnawing” on the victim’s eyes and ears.

Authorities booked Czech into the Clark County Detention Center in absentia for open murder. Though scheduled for a Monday court appearance, his hospitalization prevented it.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will determine the official cause and manner of death, along with positively identifying the deceased.
