Backpacks Packed with $1.1 Million of Cocaine Seized Along Canadian Border

Backpacks with over $1 million worth of cocaine seized near the Canadian border

Two backpacks packed with more than $1.1 million of cocaine were found in a Washington state forest, close to the Canadian border, by U.S. Border Patrol officers on patrol.

The officers found the backpacks packed with about 78 pounds of cocaine. The estimated worth of the drugs is $1.1 million.

Although this raid gives some insight into some of the drug trafficking over the Canadian border, it is hardly singular. It appears that Canadian news has reported a rather large number of large drug shipments in and including Canada:

These cases show continued efforts from law enforcement agencies to fight drug trafficking across borders.

“Thanks to the vigilance of Blaine Sector Border Patrol agents these dangerous narcotics were prevented from reaching our communities,” Chief Patrol Agent “Pete” Rosario Vasquez stated in a press release.

He added that, “our agents work tirelessly day in and day out to protect this nation, and this seizure highlights that crucial commitment.”

    1. Bryan DuBois There was no real photo of the cocaine, so The AEGIS Alliance created their own image with X/Twitter Grok2 AI. It says Grok 2 AI in the image description on the site too. But the story is real.
