Eminem Donates ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’ to Healthcare Workers in Detroit Hospitals
(The AEGIS Alliance) – DETROIT, MICHIGAN – Eminem is giving back to his hometown of Detroit where healthcare workers are battling the coronavirus daily.
The world-famous rapper donated “Mom’s Spaghetti,” which is a notable reference to an opening line in his song “Los Yourself” that won an Oscar in 2002.
Local catering company Union Joints delivered the food to the Henry Ford Health System this past week. The tubs of spaghetti had labels on them that said “Mom’s Spaghetti” and notes that said “Thank you frontline caregivers” along with the logo for Shady Records.
“Our #HealthcareHeroes “lost themselves” in the delicious Mom’s Spaghetti donated by Detroit’s very own, @eminem. Thank you for providing a special meal for our team members!” @HenryFordNews wrote on Twitter and Instagram.

The food donations given by Eminem were done with the Marshall Mathers Foundation, an organization that gives support to youths who are at risk.
Spaghetti donations were also made to the Detroit Medical Center and there are plans to provide meals to more hospitals in the area over the next weeks, CNN said.
Thank you Union Joints for the generous donation of meals to support our staff. They served one of their specialties, also a favorite of Eminem, titled “Mom’s Spaghetti.” We offer our heartfelt thanks and are grateful for the support. #DetroitStrong #ACommunityBuiltOnCare pic.twitter.com/17041kJAb4

Eminem had partnered with Union Joints before serving “Mom’s Spaghetti” during the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival at a pop-up stand.
The song “Lose Yourself” is an original song from the movie “8 Mile” and was released in 2002. The movie follows Eminem as he made efforts at launching his rapper career. The song later won an Academy Award for Best Original Song in a movie.
Eminem has sold more than 220 million records and is one of the best-selling music artists of all time as of today.
