A Skyline That Summoned Shenron While the Manga Waited and Beerus Took the Broadcast Slot
I found all the Dragon Balls and summoned Shenron!

Pareidolia is the polite word for it. You look at a storm cell over a skyline and your brain, trained by years of Toei Animation, slots the coils into Shenron. The Eternal Dragon is supposed to rise when all seven Dragon Balls are gathered. In the photo, the sky does the gathering for you.
Akira Toriyama died on March 1, 2024. The franchise did not. Dragon Ball Daima ran from October 11, 2024 through February 28, 2025 as his last series credit, a full season that sent Goku back to a child body and still made room for Shenron, the balls, and the old wish-granting gag. The Super manga has kept moving under Toyotarou. The dragon in the clouds does not care about production committees. It just looks like the thing you were told would appear if you did the work of collecting every star.
That is why the image still lands. Dragon Ball taught a generation that a wish has a shopping list. Seven orbs. One dragon. No shortcuts. When a real skyline coughs up the silhouette, people do not file it under meteorology. They file it under someone out there finished the hunt. I filed it the same way.
The same number games and Super Saiyan talk show up in The Rocker Story and in the mutant story. If you want the in-universe version of the summon instead of a cloud, the clip below walks through gathering all seven balls the way the games still stage it.

The Manga Is Still On Break
Dragon Ball Daima ended on February 28, 2025. Toyotarou’s Dragon Ball Super manga has been on hiatus since chapter 104 closed volume 24. The April 2026 issue of V-Jump confirmed the series is still on break, with no return date. Toyotarou’s X bio still reads that he is doing everything for the return of the series. The official Dragon Ball site posted a new Toyotarou drawing on August 27, 2026. None of that changes the cloud. Shenron is supposed to rise when the hunt is finished. A skyline does not wait on a magazine’s next issue.
The Sky Did Not Wait For Chapter 105
The cloud over that skyline still looks like Shenron. The production committee has been busy anyway. On September 2, 2026, the official Dragon Ball site announced that Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will premiere on Fuji Television on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 11:15 p.m. Japan time. Prime Video and U-Next get the episode not long after, in the early minutes of October 12. Other platforms were told to wait until Thursdays. An advance look at the first episode was booked for the New York Comic Con panel on October 8. Toei called the series an enhanced edition: new cuts, redrawn footage, a reconstructed narrative, Beerus awake, and a threat the trailer puts next to Frieza. The opening theme is “ONOGAMI” by MEGATERA・ZERO. The ending is “Kan Peki No Peki” by VK Blanka. Toriyama, who died on March 1, 2024, is still credited with the original work, the story, and the character designs. The committee can schedule a Sunday night. It cannot make the clouds sign a release.

That premiere is a television schedule. It is not a wish. The manga that would tell you what the wish actually changed is still sitting on chapter 104, the close of volume 24. V Jump has said Toyotarou is still serializing Dragon Ball Super, which kills the rumor that the book was cancelled after Toriyama’s death. It has not put a date on chapter 105. In late September, people who watch Jump Festa said the franchise would not have a panel on December 20 and 21, 2026, and at least one of them stopped expecting monthly chapters before the year ended. A leak is not an obituary. Shueisha has not announced a cancellation. A leak is a reason the cloud is funnier than the committee. Shenron, in the rules of the story, rises when seven balls are gathered. He does not rise when a magazine finds a hole in the calendar. Dragon Ball Daima, Toriyama’s last series credit, already ran from October 11, 2024, through February 28, 2025, sent Goku back to a child body, and still made room for the dragon and the old gag. The skyline did not need a second season to finish the silhouette.
FayerWayer noted on September 30 that fans were already campaigning at Toei for the fights in the new series to come back bloody, and that Netflix had listed the title with no date attached. The listing and the campaign are the same hunger. People want the dragon to do something on a schedule they can screenshot. A broadcast date is a kind of wish that does not require seven balls, which is why it feels cheaper than the cloud. You can put Beerus on Fuji TV at 11:15 p.m. You cannot make a storm cell sign the contract. The photograph does not care that chapter 105 has no month, and it does not care that a Comic Con panel will screen episode one three days before Japan does. It already collected the set.
A separate post that same evening said the Netflix transmission was real and the date field was still empty. That is the franchise in one sentence. The anime has a night on Fuji TV. The streaming page has a title card and a blank calendar square. The manga has a promise and a missing month. The photograph on this page has a storm that already finished the ritual.
Pareidolia is not a spoiler. It is what a brain does with coils of cloud after years of Toei Animation. The Eternal Dragon is supposed to arrive only after the seventh ball is in hand, and the photo cheats in the way every good cheat works: the sky did the collecting. I filed it the same way a kid files it. Somebody finished the hunt. The manga’s missing month does not un-finish a storm. Black Frieza is still the unresolved threat the chapters were walking toward when they stopped, and Beerus waking up on a Fuji TV Sunday does not answer him. It just gives the silhouette a broadcast slot. A wish, in this mythology, has a shopping list. Seven orbs. One dragon. No committee.
The number games that sit next to this kind of pattern are in The Rocker Story and the mutant story. The rest of the pile that does not fit a police blotter is under The Unexplained Or Unconfirmed. Related: the Super Saiyan talk in The Rocker Story and the number games in the mutant story.
