Federal Agent Caught Sniffing Little Girl’s Underwear on Nanny Cam

PHOENIX, ARIZONA A former Deputy U.S. Marshal has been accused of sniffing a little girl’s dirty underwear in her bedroom with a sexual motive. The man has been sentenced to unsupervised probation after fighting the case.

50-year-old Deputy U.S. Marshal David Timothy Moon was at a home for sale in Phoenix last May and taking a tour of the house. Moon went into a 3-year-old girl’s bedroom while his real estate agent was busy inside a different room, the police report says. Moon put his focus on a laundry basket in the corner. Moon searched through the dirty laundry and picked up what looked to be a pair of girl’s underwear.

Video captured on a nanny cam in the home shows Moon holding the underwear up to his face and then smelling them. Moon returned to the moon minutes later and smelled the dirty underwear in the laundry hamper yet again.

While Moon was leaving the girl’s bedroom the second time, he noticed the nanny cam, quickly put his hand over his mouth and said, “Goddamnit.”

The father received motion alerts from the camera and saw the recorded video, then he called Phoenix police. The father, who’s been granted anonymity in the case due to the nature of the crime, later said to the judge that he has increased the amount of security at his home.

The U.S. Marshals Service fired David Timothy Moon soon after hearing about these allegations. Moon had worked as a federal agent for 24 years in multiple U.S. states, which include Florida, Alabama, and Arizona, an agency spokesman said.

Moon threw out his computer when he was alerted about authorities. His girlfriend said she knew that the computer had videos of young girls doing gymnastics on it.

Moon was indicted and faced two felony counts of trespassing with sexual motivation. Moon fought the case down to misdemeanor trespassing after a plea deal.

Moon was sentenced to serve unsupervised probation for two years, and now the family is concerned about their safety.
