My experience working at the Rancho Cucamonga, California Wings & Rings

I worked at the Rancho Cucamonga, California Wings & Rings location on Baseline Avenue in early 2022. I’d perform all of my work duties and even do a bit extra like running cups and coffee mugs to the bar when servers weren’t supposed to put them with back of the house dishes, or sometimes helping servers clean off patron’s dishes. The dishwasher who worked on my days off would come in an hour earlier than me, and I’d end up getting out of there an hour later, but me being finished an hour later was somehow a problem for them. While the other dishwasher would leave raw chicken scraps on the metal dish with holes in it when washing it, I’d put in the extra effort to get it completely clean. I even put in some extra effort and brought my own high powered electric pressure washer from home to pressure wash the sidewalk behind the building, whereas Aymen expected me and the other dishwasher to scrub the concrete by hand. I had also brought and used my own bottle of this amazing Krud Kutter cleaner from home to get the concrete even cleaner. Krud Kutter works wonders and it’s also bio-degradable and non-toxic. I also pressure washed some of the building wall behind the building too.

My last day on the job, it was night time, I had just gotten done breaking up some boxes, taking out 3 or 4 full trash bags, taking out a couple soda syrup boxes, taking out a bucket full of bad cooking oil. It took me two trips to get all of this stuff out to the boxes dumpster and trash dumpster. So I make it back from the second trip, I literally take two puffs on my nicotine vape, I’m turning the vapor device off to then go back inside… then suddenly, here comes the owner, Aymen Ghabrial, storming out the back door! Asking me what I’m doing out there! Asking why I’m just messing around! And to get back to work! Yelling at me for not doing my job! I knew right then that I was done with that job, so I walked inside, through the back of the house, all the while Aymen Ghabrial is following me and yelling at me, I clocked out, left, and never came back. He even made sure to yell at me to make sure I clock out because of ONE time I forgot to clock out during my first few days working there. I was so filled with anxiety, disbelief, and the feeling of being wrongly accused and disrespected that I didn’t say a word while walking through the restaurant to clock out. I just got into my car and left after clocking out.

I worked hard at that job, but I left feeling like I was never doing good enough in the eyes of the owner and manager. The manager guy at the time was cool otherwise though. I wanted that job, I needed that job, I made efforts to get along with the owner and co-workers.

I’ve since quit nicotine vaping since October 2024, and for 7 months in 2022-2023 before that. I’ve also quit marijuana since January which I mainly had only started back up to deal with pain from an injury during early 2024. It took willpower to quit nicotine and marijuana. And alcohol has never been an issue for me, I have the social drinking gene like my mom has. My own mother will tell you that I’m known to be too honest about things. I’ve also built up a trustworthy reputation online and in real life over the years while owning and operating my news media and eCommerce company.

I’d actually still be willing to work there again, or to pressure wash the back of the building again or other local businesses owned by the same parent company and charge for it. Water spigot and electrical outlet would need to be supplied by the establishment(s).
