Dozens of Ghislaine Maxwell Court Documents Unsealed From the Giuffre Docket a Judge Once Wanted Destroyed

Fifty-two documents released one Thursday evening were tied to a previously settled defamation suit.

NEW YORK — In July 2021 a federal court unsealed dozens of documents from Virginia Giuffre’s settled defamation case against Ghislaine Maxwell. Fifty-two dropped on one Thursday night. The same civil docket is the one a judge had previously been asked to destroy. The AEGIS Alliance had already published the motherlode. Unsealing is not discovery. It is the public finally being allowed to read what the parties already knew.

Those papers, and later tranches ordered by Judge Loretta Preska, eventually put roughly 170 names into the open in January 2024: Prince Andrew, Les Wexner, Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, and a long list of men Giuffre had already identified. Most of the « new » names were not new. They were finally on a public PDF. Maxwell was convicted in December 2021 and is serving 20 years.

Jeffrey Epstein DIRTY SECRETS To Be Exposed As Ghislaine Maxwell Loses Bid To Keep Files Sealed

Habeas, grand juries, and a judge who was not buying it

Congress passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act in November 2025. In December 2025 Judge Paul A. Engelmayer ordered Maxwell grand-jury material unsealed under that statute. On August 25, 2026 he rejected her habeas petition as demonstrably meritless, writing that her claims were speculation, distortions, and outright falsehoods, and that newly released federal files incriminated her rather than excused her. PBS carried the ruling. The docket that started as a defamation fight is now a federal records dump. The conviction is still the conviction.

Related from The AEGIS Alliance: the motherlode archive, the victims’ fund that paid $121 million, Maxwell’s arrest, the unredacted black book, and the 60 Minutes autopsy.
