Graphic Jeffrey Epstein Autopsy Photos on « 60 Minutes » Prove Epstein Didn’t Kill Himself

60 MINUTES – On Sunday night, the well-liked TV program 60 Minutes delves deeply into late-financier and dead elite underage sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s passing. Photographs from Epstein’s jail cell following his death and graphic autopsy images were featured in the show.
Epstein’s death was declared a suicide in August of 2019 due to hanging himself with a bedsheet using a four foot tall bed, but according to Dr. Michael Baden, a former New York City medical examiner, his autopsy photos tell a different story. For the benefit of the Epstein family, Dr. Baden witnessed the autopsy. Images captured from Epstein’s detention cell display bed linens fashioned into a couple’s nooses. Additionally, a thin, bloody line that runs across the middle of Epstein’s throat is visible in the autopsy images. According to Dr. Baden, the images do not support the theory that the death was suicide.
It is noteworthy that Epstein’s security cameras were inadvertently turned off at the time of his death, and that the guards assigned to watch over his jail cell just so happened to be « asleep » at the same time. Later on, some security footage was discovered, but it had previously appeared to disappear.
Dr Michael Baden said, « This noose doesn’t match the ligature furrow mark. It’s wider than this. Most hangings, especially free hangings, the ligature slides up to beneath the jawbone, the mandible, » he added. « Here it’s in the middle of the neck. »
There didn’t seem to be any blood on the hanging noose in the cell either. In the jail cell, there were also electrical extension cables, which would have been a far more practical option for someone wishing to end their life.

On 60 Minutes, a picture of Epstein’s fractured hyoid bone—a tiny bone in the neck—was also featured. Dr. Baden has never seen the breaking of all three small neck bones in a suicide case, but this autopsy confirms it.
He also drew attention to the location of the bloodied neck injuries, which are typical of strangulation by a wire and do not occur in suicides.
These results, according to Dr. Baden, are additional proof that Epstein did not commit suicide.
« I have never seen three fractures like this in a suicidal hanging. Going over over a thousand jail hangings, suicides, in the New York state prisons over the past 40, 50 years, no one had three fractures, » Dr Baden said.

Dr. Baden’s conclusion strengthens the case for the plausible conspiracy theory that Epstein was murdered rather than taking his own life, it seems as though Epstein didn’t kill himself. As a sex offender with a criminal record, Epstein is connected to some of the world’s most influential individuals, such as current President Donald J. Trump and former President Bill Clinton.
Nevertheless, in spite of the details that some have deduced from the autopsy images, the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office continues to maintain its official determination that the death was a suicide.

Others, such as former federal prison warden Cameron Lindsay, who responded, « Absolutely, unequivocally not, » when asked if Epstein could have been murdered, vehemently disagree with Dr. Baden.
However, compared to a former federal prison warden who is not an expert on the subject, a former medical examiner like Dr. Baden would have far more knowledge about it.
The possibility that Epstein could have testified against the « elites » and other powerful individuals was undoubtedly one of the many reasons why he was allegedly targeted for murder. In 2019, the FBI had been looking into how much of a « criminal enterprise » was involved in Epstein’s demise.

What the Files Did and Did Not Settle
Dr. Baden’s reading of the neck fractures and the furrow has never been the official one. The medical examiner held to suicide. The Justice Department’s inspector general, in June 2023, catalogued « numerous and serious failures » at the Metropolitan Correctional Center and still found no evidence of homicide. The two guards who skipped the checks walked on deferred prosecution.
What the 60 Minutes photos could not do, Congress later tried to force. The Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed November 19, 2025, ordered the Justice Department to publish its unclassified Epstein records. On January 30, 2026 the department said it had posted more than 3.5 million additional pages. Ghislaine Maxwell is still serving 20 years; a judge rejected her latest bid to vacate that conviction on August 25, 2026. The hyoid, the cameras, and the sleeping guards remain the facts this broadcast put on the table. The names in those millions of pages are the rest of the story.
