加州七天的童年性犯罪 扫射了141人 同一专案组后来又回来了数百人

Between September 6 and September 12, 2022, detectives working for the Los Angeles Regional Internet Crimes Against Children task force arrested 141 people in seven days. Sixty-four agencies covered five counties: Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. The operation was called Protect the Innocent. It was built to work CyberTips, identify suspects, and check people already on probation or parole. Warrants were served at houses. Of the 141 arrests, 110 were tied to child sexual abuse material. The rest included pimping, statutory rape, child sexual abuse, and parole violations. An arrest is a charge. It is not a conviction. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless a court says otherwise.

Sextortion, the crime in which a predator coaxes an image and then threatens to leak it unless the child pays or sends more, has kept climbing on the same platforms the 2022 detectives were already watching. The AEGIS Alliance has covered that pressure on families since the 联邦调查局.

The 141 arrests were not a finale. They were a floor. The Los Angeles Regional ICAC task force, led by the Los Angeles Police Department, went back to the same five-county map. Between April 6 and April 19, 2025, investigators ran what they called Operation Spring Cleaning. They reported 265 arrests of alleged child predators and 27 children rescued. Phase one was undercover work on social platforms. Phase two was residential search warrants and arrest warrants for production and distribution of child sexual abuse material, online exploitation, and trafficking. More than 108 agencies took part. About 1,000 parents and children sat through internet-safety classes beside the enforcement work.

LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell said the point was to pull predators off the internet and pull children out of abuse. Officials said many of the people arrested held jobs that put them next to children. Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said the operation’s name was too gentle for what detectives were finding. Some of the 2025 arrests were tied to 764, an online exploitation network that federal prosecutors have described as coercing children into producing explicit material and harming themselves. A gentle name on a press release does not change the charge. It does show how agencies still reach for soft language when the evidence is anything but soft.

In early May 2025 the Justice Department and the FBI announced a separate week, Operation Restore Justice: five days, all 55 FBI field offices, 205 arrests, and 115 children recovered nationwide. Several of those arrests were in California. The federal charges included production, distribution, and possession of child sexual abuse material, online enticement, transportation of minors, and child sex trafficking. A state task force and a federal sweep can hit the same kitchen table in the same month. That is not duplication for its own sake. It is what a backlog of CyberTips looks like when more than one agency finally opens the queue.

防火墙行动让2022周看起来很小

The clearest measure of the backlog came in the spring of 2026. From April 19 through May 3, the same Los Angeles Regional ICAC task force ran Operation Firewall across the same five Southern California counties. The LAPD said the task force now includes 112 partner agencies, one of the largest ICAC task forces in the country. The national network behind it, funded through the Justice Department’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, counts 61 coordinated task forces and more than 5,400 participating agencies. Firewall’s public result, announced on May 21, 2026, was 341 arrests and 40 children identified and rescued.

McDonnell said investigators worked undercover across multiple social platforms and served residential and arrest warrants through the five-county region. The arrest offenses included production, possession, and distribution of child sexual abuse material, lewd acts with a child, contacting or trying to meet a minor for a lewd purpose, human trafficking, failure to register as a sex offender, and probation or parole violations by people already convicted. Officials said some of the material involved children as young as one year old. At the same announcement, prosecutors pointed to a 45-year federal sentence, obtained the week before, for a man who had groomed girls he met on Instagram. That sentence was held up as the reason the task force exists. It was not a same-week conviction of a Firewall defendant, and it should not be reported as one. Social workers from the Department of Children and Family Services were brought in for the children who were found.

The summer did not go quiet. From August 17 through August 25, 2026, California Attorney General Rob Bonta announced the results of Operation Chatter Box, run by the Department of Justice’s San Diego Human Trafficking Task Force with Homeland Security Investigations’ Child Exploitation Group. Undercover agents used online platforms to identify people seeking sexual contact with minors, and other teams checked people on active parole for sex offenses against children. The operation produced 15 arrests: 12 for allegedly arranging to meet a minor for lewd or lascivious conduct, and three for alleged parole violations. During one compliance check, agents said they found a parolee possessing and viewing suspected child sexual abuse material. Bonta’s line was blunt. If you go online looking to harm a child, law enforcement will be there waiting. Fifteen arrests in San Diego are not 341 in the Los Angeles basin. They are evidence that the same method, a chat, a meet, a door, is now standard from the Mexican border to Santa Barbara.

一个有不同数目的贩卖周

January 2026 showed the other half of the work, the buyers and the traffickers rather than only the men collecting files. During the statewide Operation Reclaim and Rebuild week of January 25 to January 31, authorities reported 611 criminal arrests, 156 adults rescued, 14 children rescued, 71 suspected traffickers arrested, and 328 sex buyers arrested. Los Angeles County’s slice of that week included 12 adults rescued, five children rescued, 18 suspected traffickers, and 79 sex buyers. Along the Figueroa corridor, detectives said they made eight arrests, up from four the year before, and that six of the people rescued were girls under 18. The youngest had just turned 13. Read the numbers in order and the pattern stops being a series of press conferences. In seven days in September 2022, one regional task force arrested 141 people, mostly on child sexual abuse material. In two weeks in the spring of 2025, a larger version of that task force arrested 265 and said it rescued 27 children. In two weeks in the spring of 2026, with 112 agencies, the same map produced 341 arrests and 40 children. None of those figures is a conviction rate. Some cases will collapse. Some defendants will be acquitted. The direction of the workload will not. CyberTips accumulate faster than detectives can knock on doors, and the doors are in ordinary neighborhoods, opened on people who coach, teach, or simply live next to the children they are accused of hunting.

Operation Protect the Innocent was the week the five-county machine showed its size in public. Operation Firewall is what that machine looks like when the backlog is no longer something a police chief can describe as a special operation. It is the ordinary calendar.
