Tiger roaming a Houston street leads to tense confrontation

A tiger had been seen on the loose roaming around in a Houston neighborhood on Sunday evening, along with one guy aiming what looked to be a gun at the wild big cat.

The large feline that had a collar on was wandering around the suburb on Ivy Wall Drive at around 8 p.m. when a man who has been identified as a local LEO, equipped with the evident gun shouted at another guy to take the tiger inside, according to KHOU 11.

“Get the f**k back inside. F**k you and your f***ing tiger,” the guy could be heard yelling while pointing the noticeable weapon at the tiger, a video clip uploaded to Twitter shows.

The other guy, that seems to be the tiger owner, responds with, “I’ll get him, I’ll get him,” the video clip uploaded to Twitter by @robwormald reveals.

In an additional video clip, a woman shelters inside her residence while checking out the standoff.

“There is a freaking Bengal tiger roaming in this yard and this dude needs to be careful,” the lady pointed out. “What the heck? Why is there a tiger?”

The evident owner at some point gets hold of the tiger and takes it back inside his property, photographs reveal. Police were then called onto the scene, but after that, the owner reportedly “barreled out of the driveway over the lawn and fled from police.

It is legal to own a Tiger in the unincorporated areas of Houston, but the animal must be kept at least 1,000 feet away from homes, schools, and businesses, etc. The tiger owner may have been involved in the illegal wildlife trade and that’s why he fled the scene.

Apparently, the man aiming the gun was just a helpful local LEO. The owner reportedly left his girlfriend in the house, that the two rent, but this will surely void any security deposit and rental agreements for the property. It was not promptly clear if any sort of charges is going to be filed.
