California Man Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison for Child Pornography
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA – A man at the age of 62 has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after he paid to watch and direct child sex abuse via Skype webcam.
On Monday, Mark Corum was sentenced to prison because he produced and distributed child pornography.
According to prosecutors, Mr. Corum transferred $25 to $35 to people who live in the Philippines in exchange for watching them performing sex acts with children while he used online chat rooms to give them instructions about the kinds of acts to perform. Mr. Corum watched it live as it was happening.
Chat-room transcripts reveal Corum giving statements where he talked about how he was having sex with children when visiting the Philippines. The transcripts included Mr. Corum saying he wanted to have sex with a webcam victim who was only 6 years old if he made a visit to the country again.
Mark Corum is now behind bars for 30 years in a federal prison.
