Fugitive Ohio Attempted Murder Suspect is Captured

ROSS COUNTY, OHIOThe Ross County Sheriff’s Office successfully apprehended Ernest Reed, a wanted fugitive, following their appeal to the public for assistance in locating him.

Ernest Reed, a 41-year-old individual also known by his alias “Bigworm,” had managed to evade authorities until the diligent efforts of the sheriff’s department led to his capture. Reed, measuring 6 feet 2 inches in height and weighing approximately 250 pounds, was wanted in connection with an attempted murder case that occurred on Thursday morning along State Route 772.

The sheriff’s department issued a warning stating that Mr. Reed should be considered armed and dangerous. They urged the public to refrain from approaching him and instead advised immediate contact with law enforcement.

In a recent Facebook update, the Ross County Sheriff’s Office announced that they successfully took Reed into police custody around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Currently, Ernest Reed is being held at the Ross County Jail on a parole violation warrant. Furthermore, pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation, he is expected to face additional charges.
