Memphis mom allegedly murdered daughter who she “thought was an alien”

This week, a woman from Memphis, Tennessee, who is 65 years old, was taken into custody following accusations of stabbing her daughter and causing her death. Subsequently, she abandoned the deceased body on the road.

The victim, Conju Garrett, was declared deceased by paramedics from Memphis Fire Department at 12:22 a.m.

Authorities had a conversation with the mother of Conju, Carolyn Garrett, as per reports from the Memphis Police. She thought she “killed an alien who was trying to take her children.”

Garrett’s son informed the authorities that she said to him she “killed the devil.”

Police apprehended Garrett and during their conversation with authorities, she purportedly uttered she “heard some voices coming from the wall telling her to kill her daughter.”

Garrett allegedly retrieved a knife from the kitchen and “started cutting Conju Garrett on the back of her neck and back area.” Then, she reportedly dragged her to the street and left her on the curb. Garrett cleaned up the blood inside the home and left the towels and sheets she used outside.

Garrett purportedly obtained a knife from the kitchen and “started cutting Conju Garrett on the back of her neck and back area.” Afterwards, it is claimed that Garrett dragged her towards the street and deserted her on the sidewalk. Garrett cleaned up the blood inside the house and left the towels and linens she used outside.

According to WREG-TV, Conju Garrett resided with a handicap and was unable to walk.

Carolyn Garrett was arrested and taken to the Shelby County Detention Center for a murder charge in the highest degree and is currently confined with a bail amount of $500,000.
