Stan Lee’s Cause of Death has been Revealed

(The AEGIS Alliance)A couple weeks after the comic book legend Stan Lee died, his cause of death has been revealed.

According to Lee’s death certificate obtained by TMZ, it lists his immediate cause of death as cardiac arrest (Heart Attack) which includes respiratory failure and congestive heart failure as the underlying causes. In the document, it also notes that he suffered from what’s known as “aspiration pneumonia,” which is a complication of pulmonary aspiration. This was a significant condition that contributed to his death. Pulmonary aspiration happens when someone inhales food, saliva, or stomach acid into their lungs.

Lee had been battling health issues and complications this entire year. Earlier this year in January, he had been hospitalized for an irregular heartbeat and shortness of breath. Then in February, he suffered from pneumonia.

The death certificate shows that Lee was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center located in Los Angeles, California, on Monday, November 12th at 9:17 A.M.

He was 95 years old, the same age as when his wife passed away. Stan Lee was then cremated, then his ashes were given to his daughter, J.C. Lee.

Stan Lee is best known for being the godfather of Marvel Comics. He was directly responsible for creating or co-creating iconic Marvel characters such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, the Hulk, and Black Panther. His daughter J.C. Lee says he was working on a new superhero before he died.

“We have been working on a character called Dirt Man,” she said to TMZ. “The last little angel that we’ve got tucked away is called Dirt Man. I said, ‘Daddy, please, no clatter, no steel, no any of that. Let’s get down and dirty.’ … It is very interesting. It’s not over yet; we still have a little trickery.”

Also being revealed, J.C. Lee says she will be creating a foundation to honor her father and in his memory. The foundation will focus on and highlight the importance of literacy.
