LOS ANGELES \u2014<\/strong> Trevor Moore, co-founder of the sketch troupe The Whitest Kids U’ Know, died on August 7, 2021, at 41 after a fall from the balcony of his home. He and Zach Cregger had been together hours earlier. The cause was an accident, not a punchline. WKUK came off YouTube and IFC. Moore was the one who made the room dangerous in the useful way.<\/p>\n

Cregger has said he wrote his follow-up feature, Weapons<\/em>, to cope with that death. The film opened in 2025, passed $270 million worldwide, and put a tray of hot dogs on screen as an esoteric nod to Moore. On March 15, 2026, Amy Madigan won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Aunt Gladys. The Guardian<\/a> noted the 40-year gap from her previous nomination. Cregger’s first feature, Barbarian<\/em>, had already announced that the sketch-comedy kid could direct fear.<\/p>\n
