He got out, walked past her, opened his front door, and went inside. A roommate confirmed he lived there. She kept talking. She accused him of dealing drugs. She pointed at a car in the driveway as if it were evidence. He asked her to watch her mouth around children. The clip did what those clips did in 2020: it went nationwide, the word &#8220;Karen&#8221; did the rest, and a lot of people who had never met either of them picked a side.<\/p>\n<p>The pattern was already a genre. Amy Cooper called police on birdwatcher Christian Cooper in Central Park on May 25, 2020 after he asked her to leash her dog, telling a dispatcher &#8220;an African American man&#8221; was threatening her life. She lost her job. This driveway video is simpler. He was home. She called anyway. The AEGIS Alliance is not here to invent a federal case out of a doorbell camera. We are here to say the reflex to summon armed officers onto a Black man in his own driveway is the story, and it did not start or end with this woman.
