We, are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/TheAEGISAlliance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"\">The AEGIS Alliance<\/a>, with, Anonymous allies!<\/p>\n<p>A so-called, Anon, who also claims to be an FBI agent, recently offered <a href=\"https:\/\/theaegisalliance.com\/author\/masatempletonlee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"\">Kyle James Lee, the majority owner of The AEGIS Alliance<\/a>, $25,000 in lump sum payments, to produce Anonymous videos that would have included political misinformation, and would&#8217;ve seemingly shown support for politicians, in the name of Anonymous. But there was, however, no mention of being a leader of the Legion. The videos would have even mentioned there being Anonymous, &#8220;members,&#8221; but, Anonymous is an idea and a movement, it is not some organization or club that has members. We have declined this offer and turned it down.<\/p>\n<p>Fact-checkers would&#8217;ve also surely fact-checked the videos, as misleading or misinformation, and any page, group, or personal profile that posted or shared the videos on Facebook, would&#8217;ve been punished, as a result.<\/p>\n<p>The so-called Anon who claims to be an FBI agent is no other than, Gregory Scott Goodyear, aka, Scott Goodyear, whom AEGIS produced videos for in 2017, such as the viral, <a href=\"https:\/\/theaegisalliance.com\/2019\/04\/23\/anonymous-exposes-nh-double-murder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"\">Anonymous Exposes New Hampshire Double Murder<\/a>, and others, which Goodyear wrote the scripts for. Goodyear does not understand what the idea, or movement, of Anonymous, is. The note references perjury and potential violations of 18 US Code \u00a7 912, potentially related to the AEGIS Alliance and FBI claim.\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1609\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-968473\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Gregory Scott Goodyear claims this is proof that he was an undercover FBI agent.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The videos would&#8217;ve gone against what has come to be known as, the, creed of Anonymous, and may have very well ignited a war, between renowned old school Anons, and The AEGIS Alliance.<\/p>\n<p>The creed, of Anonymous, is sort of the unwritten or unofficial rules or guidelines of Anonymous, that were first conceptualized by the old school Anons, known as, &#8220;We Are Anonymous,&#8221; which made state, national, and international headlines multiple times, back in the golden era of Anonymous, for their hacktivism operations.<\/p>\n<p>There are a few especially unofficial cardinal rules, or guidelines, in the creed, that should not be broken, such as no making money in the name of Anonymous, no supporting politicians in the name of Anonymous, and that Anonymous has no leaders or members. That there is no official Anonymous and no Anonymous headquarters. That Anonymous is not a political agenda, but it does instead, have a human rights agenda in some forms.<\/p>\n<p>If The AEGIS Alliance had accepted this offer to produce these videos, the old school and yes, powerful Anons that we&#8217;re allies with, would have removed us from our roles on their Facebook pages, and groups blocked our accounts, blocked us on Twitter, Discord, and other social media, then perhaps attempt to hack into our computers, smartphones, systems, and other devices. Paid political influence operations, &#8220;astroturfed&#8221; activism, and for-hire disinformation campaigns have become a documented feature of the social media landscape, with platforms repeatedly taking down coordinated networks that disguised paid political messaging as grassroots or movement-driven content. Turning down the offer kept The AEGIS Alliance clear of exactly that kind of operation. The cardinal guidelines described above \u2014 no profiting in the name of Anonymous, no shilling for politicians under its banner, and no pretending the movement has leaders or members \u2014 remain the reason this decision was made, and we stand by it. The refusal did not.<\/h2>\n<p>In January 2025 Meta said it would stop using third-party fact-checkers on Facebook and Instagram in the United States and move toward a community-notes style system. The AEGIS Alliance <a href=\"https:\/\/theaegisalliance.com\/2025\/01\/07\/meta-to-abandon-fact-checking-and-replace-it-with-x-style-community-notes\/\">reported that shift<\/a> when it was announced. Read it against the worry written above. In 2021, part of the case for refusing the videos was that fact-checkers would mark them and that pages sharing them would be punished. That platform penalty is no longer the backstop it was. The creed is. A checkmark from a contractor was never the reason Anonymous does not sell candidate ads. The reason is the one already on this page: no money in the name of the idea, no politicians under its banner, no members, no leaders, no headquarters.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-x\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">South Africa\u2019s former top detective Shadrack Sibiya is charged with rape, trafficking three people for sexual exploitation, and grooming a 16-year-old girl. He oversaw the units responsible for investigating rape. <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/hashtag\/OpDeathEaters?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#OpDeathEaters<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gEb2o3SPEg\">https:\/\/t.co\/gEb2o3SPEg<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Anonymous (@OpDeathEaters) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/OpDeathEaters\/status\/2104918168179539987?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 29, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>What Gregory Scott Goodyear offered as proof of an FBI role is still what it was when this post went up. A photograph outside the J. Edgar Hoover building, a handwritten note set beside a Florida driver&#8217;s license, and a Facebook profile line are not a commission, a badge number, or a case assignment. The AEGIS Alliance produced videos from scripts he wrote in 2017, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/theaegisalliance.com\/2019\/04\/23\/anonymous-exposes-nh-double-murder\/\">New Hampshire double murder<\/a> report, and said so at the time. Those were disclosures. They were not paid endorsements. The $25,000 figure did not become cleaner because a social network retired one of its moderation vendors.<\/p>\n<p>Accounts that still publish under Anonymous banners are doing a different job from the one he was trying to buy. They post operations, court records, and warnings. They do not invoice a candidate. One post in that stream, from an account carrying the OpDeathEaters name, concerned a South African detective charged with rape, trafficking, and grooming a 16-year-old, and it pointed at the reporting rather than at a party. That is the human-rights lane described in the creed above. The note under that bio on September 30, 2026 was a classical quotation about a rich man and a legion, not a candidate spot. It is not ours to stretch into a manifesto. The smaller point is enough. The account was not selling a politician, and a movement that is an idea cannot have a payroll department. If The AEGIS Alliance had taken the lump sums, the old-school allies named above would have been right to cut the tie. They would also have been right after Meta changed its rules, and they would be right if another so-called Anon arrived tomorrow with a larger number. The videos were declined.
