Donald Trump \u00abtraveled on Epstein&#8217;s private jet many more times than previously has been reported (or that we were aware).\u00bb The count in that email is at least eight flights between 1993 and 1996. Ghislaine Maxwell is listed on at least four. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snopes.com\/fact-check\/trump-epstein-jet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Snopes<\/a> found the same memo in two Justice Department batches and called the claim true as a description of what the prosecutor wrote. Reuters, the BBC, and The Guardian treated the mail as authentic. The New York Times transcribed a header some readers then fought over: Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at 00:56. That stamp, if it is UTC, is 7:56 p.m. on January 7 in New York. Other outlets dated the message January 7. The timezone argument does not change the sentence. The office had just finished more than 100 pages of dense, small-script logs received the day before, and a prosecutor did not want colleagues surprised.<\/p>\n<p>The memo was not a charging document. It was situational awareness for a team heading into a Maxwell case. That is the angle that still matters after millions of later pages. Prosecutors thought the manifests sat close enough to their charging window that a reporter should not be the person who introduced the names. Trump has not been charged in the Epstein or Maxwell cases. Frequency of travel is not a verdict. It is also not nothing. The names of the sender and the recipient were blacked out when Data Set 8 hit the portal. The signature block still said assistant U.S. attorney, Southern District of New York. The subject line was flight records. The body is short enough to quote without a graphic.<\/p>\n<h2>What the small-script logs actually listed<\/h2>\n<p>The prosecutor&#8217;s highlights, as released, were specific:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trump listed as a passenger on at least eight flights from 1993 to 1996.<\/li>\n<li>Maxwell on at least four of those eight.<\/li>\n<li>One 1993 flight with only Trump and Epstein listed.<\/li>\n<li>One flight with only Epstein, Trump, and a then-20-year-old passenger whose name is redacted.<\/li>\n<li>Other trips with Marla Maples, Tiffany Trump, and Eric Trump.<\/li>\n<li>Two flights that included women the office viewed as possible witnesses in a Maxwell case.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The last bullet is why the email exists. The Maxwell indictment&#8217;s time frame overlapped the years the logs covered. A passenger who later becomes a witness is a discovery problem if the trial team learns the name from a headline instead of from its own box of manifests. \u00abWomen who would have been possible witnesses\u00bb is a case-management sentence, not a campaign ad. The three-person flight is the line that kept the memo alive after the eight-flight count became familiar. The public still does not have that passenger&#8217;s name. The email does not allege a crime against that passenger or against Trump. The Miami Herald and other outlets had counted fewer trips. The Southern District email&#8217;s contribution was the phrase \u00abmany more times than previously has been reported (or that we were aware),\u00bb plus the Maxwell overlap and the unnamed 20-year-old. A handwritten log released in a later batch shows one concrete line readers can check without trusting a summary: August 13, 1995, Palm Beach International to Teterboro, with Donald Trump and Eric Trump listed, and initials widely read as Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. A manifest is a record of who the log says was aboard. It is not a diary of what happened in the cabin.<\/p>\n<p>In a 2002 <a href=\"https:\/\/nymag.com\/nymetro\/news\/people\/n_7912\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">New York Magazine<\/a> interview Trump called Epstein a \u00abterrific guy\u00bb who liked beautiful women \u00abon the younger side.\u00bb He later said he had a falling-out with Epstein and banned him from Mar-a-Lago. He has denied wrongdoing in the trafficking scheme and, in a January 2024 social-media post, denied flying on Epstein&#8217;s plane at all. The 2020 email and that later denial cannot both describe the logs. The logs are the older document, written by a prosecutor who had the pages in hand, years before the denial. The email does not charge him. It also does not disappear because he later called Epstein a name.<\/p>\n<h2>The same dump put other passengers back in the same week<\/h2>\n<p>Bill Clinton&#8217;s name sits on other manifests from the early 2000s. His spokesperson said those trips were foundation work through Europe, Asia, and Africa, that Clinton had no contact with Epstein for more than a decade before the 2019 arrest, and that Clinton was never told about the crimes. He has not been charged. The statement exists because the same portal put his name back in the same news cycle as the Trump count. Flight logs are not a morality ranking. They are passenger lists. Both lists are now public in overlapping waves. Treating one list as gossip and the other as destiny is a choice the documents do not make.<\/p>\n<p>Other famous names in the same season of releases produced their own weather. The AEGIS Alliance later tracked FBI memos describing a <a href=\"https:\/\/theaegisalliance.com\/2026\/02\/02\/it-appears-jeffrey-epstein-had-a-very-close-relationship-with-magician-david-copperfield-new-files-reveal\/\">very close Epstein relationship with David Copperfield<\/a>. Banks that cleared Epstein&#8217;s money faced their own civil math. <a href=\"https:\/\/theaegisalliance.com\/2026\/03\/27\/bank-of-americas-epstein-victims-lawsuit-settlement-revealed-to-be-72-5-million\/\">Bank of America&#8217;s survivor settlement<\/a> is a separate file. The pattern is the same. The portal does not rank the names. Readers have to, and they have to rank documents by what kind of document they are.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-x\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Mike Johnson just canceled votes. When we take back the\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ro Khanna (@RoKhanna) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RoKhanna\/status\/2100302031827153151?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 16, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<h2>A disclaimer about fake tips does not cover a prosecutor&#8217;s email<\/h2>\n<p>Data Set 8 was an early wave. On January 30, 2026, the department published more than 3 million additional pages and said the running total was near 3.5 million under the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Todd Blanche told reporters the department had not protected the president by name and that victim identities and illegal images were the lawful withholdings. The same letter warned that the production included fake or falsely submitted material, including \u00abuntrue and sensationalist claims\u00bb against Trump sent to the FBI before the 2020 election. That warning is real, and it is easy to misuse. It describes tips from the public. It does not describe an internal Southern District email from January 2020 in which a prosecutor summarizes flight logs the office had just received. The AEGIS Alliance unpacked the sludge problem in the <a href=\"https:\/\/theaegisalliance.com\/2025\/12\/22\/fake-jeffrey-epstein-suicide-attempt-video-surfaces-but-is-then-deleted-from-doj-files\/\">12-second animation the department posted and then deleted<\/a>. The CGI clip was sludge. A purported Epstein-to-Larry Nassar letter was sludge. The flight email is a lawyer describing paper. All three can live on the same site. Only one of them is a work product from the Maxwell investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The fight over what is still held did not rewrite the sentence. Journalist Katie Phang&#8217;s lawsuit produced a June 25, 2026, injunction from Judge Emmet Sullivan aimed at specific redactions, a fight The AEGIS Alliance covered in <a href=\"https:\/\/theaegisalliance.com\/2026\/07\/03\/journalist-katie-phangs-landmark-lawsuit-exposes-doj-obstruction-to-full-epstein-files-disclosure-under-trump-administration\/\">her case against the department<\/a>. In August 2026 Massie and Khanna introduced a second transparency bill that would let state prosecutors and victims sue over withholdings. In September they said they had the signatures to force another vote, while the House calendar went quiet. Critics still point at a gap between more than 6 million pages once described as potentially responsive and about 3.5 million released. That gap is its own story. It does not edit January 2020. The sentence stays short. The manifests showed more Trump flights than the office had previously understood, including flights in the window of a Maxwell case, including flights with Maxwell, including a three-person hop with a 20-year-old whose name the public still does not have.<\/p>\n<h2>What the email is, and what it is not<\/h2>\n<p>It is not an indictment. It is not a passenger diary. It is not proof that every flight was a crime. It is an internal warning from a prosecutor who had just read more than 100 pages of logs and did not want colleagues ambushed. Trump remains uncharged in the Epstein and Maxwell prosecutions. Maxwell is in federal prison on a 20-year sentence. Epstein is dead. The logs are paper. Readers who flatten the memo into a campaign graphic are doing the same thing as readers who dismiss it because a later press release mentioned fake tips. The useful middle is the one the Southern District lawyer chose: count the flights, note who else was aboard, and keep the trial team from learning the names on television.<\/p>\n<p>The AEGIS Alliance is leaving the document image in this file because the document is the news. The nickname attached to the aircraft is not. The email is the record.
