That is the product. An antique farmhouse on the 156-acre Bradford, New Hampshire, compound where FBI agents arrested Ghislaine Maxwell on July 2, 2020, is offered at $2,500 a month, two bedrooms, one bathroom, a fieldstone fireplace, an 1800s core and a 1980s addition. The larger house, the one agents breached, is not for rent. The ad promises the thing Maxwell herself requested at the showing: quiet and privacy. She had introduced herself to the real estate agent as Janet Marshall, a journalist who wanted to be left alone. The new owners are selling the same sentence back to strangers. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realtor.com\/news\/unique-homes\/ghislaine-maxwell-jeffrey-epstein-farmhouse-new-hampshire-arrest-rent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Realtor.com<\/a> found the listing. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/ghislaine-maxwell-compound-listed-for-rent-in-mysterious-circumstances\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">The Daily Beast<\/a> matched public records to a Massachusetts man who owns a construction company known for work on Martha&#8217;s Vineyard and Cape Cod, buying with his wife. <a href=\"https:\/\/theaegisalliance.com\/\">The AEGIS Alliance<\/a> is still stuck on the wire that made the driveway possible.<\/p>\n<p>Maxwell paid $1,070,750 cash in December 2019 for the timber compound at 338 East Washington Road, four months after Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in a Manhattan jail. The deed was signed by Granite Realty LLC, a company stood up the month before and registered to Scott Borgerson, then her husband and the trustee of the Montpelier Trust, of which she was grantor. The estate went back on the market in July 2025 at $2.49 million, was cut to $2.37 million, went pending in March 2026, and sold for just under $2.4 million. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhpr.org\/nh-news\/2026-04-06\/ghislaine-maxwell-hideout-bradford-nh-sells-for-2-3-million\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">New Hampshire Public Radio<\/a> quoted Dave Cummings of the state realtors&#8216; association: from 2019 through 2025 the property&#8217;s value jumped about 124 percent, ahead of the state&#8217;s roughly 89 percent average. Bradford&#8217;s median listing while it sat unsold was about $520,000. Notoriety was supposed to poison the price. A hot second-home market treated a trafficking lieutenant&#8217;s last address as a curiosity with a mountain view.<\/p>\n<h2>UBS Drafted the Breakup, Then Funded the Gate<\/h2>\n<p>Justice Department files map the purchase with a street number on them. On November 12, 2019, UBS sent nearly $8 million from an account tied to the Montpelier Trust into a TD Ameritrade account in Borgerson&#8217;s orbit. The money stepped through another trust and closed the house. An April 12, 2022, federal chart is titled with the Bradford address. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/legal\/government\/how-ubs-helped-epstein-accomplice-maxwell-buy-her-hideout-tucked-away-2026-03-27\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Reuters<\/a> reconstructed it. The chart is not a blog post. On August 1, 2019, the bank emailed Maxwell that it would cut her off within a month and gave no reason. On August 16, a U.S. grand jury subpoena demanded the entire Maxwell file in a sealed child-sex-trafficking investigation. The November transfer still went out while UBS was discussing with the FBI how to answer that subpoena. The bank had run as much as $19 million for her in cash, shares, and hedge funds, with two relationship managers, relationships opened in 2014, the period when JPMorgan was pushing Epstein out. Barclays also sat in the DOJ material as a key bank and declined to discuss it. After the arrest, UBS filed a suspicious-activity report covering more than $18 million that had already moved from Maxwell-linked accounts to Borgerson between 2014 and 2020. A report filed after the handcuffs is a scrapbook, not a stop.<\/p>\n<p>Tom Kirchmaier of the London School of Economics has said banks told about a secret criminal inquiry usually hunt for any public hook to freeze the money. Senator Ron Wyden&#8217;s shorter version is that ultra-wealthy clients can walk across the street, so the banks look away. He has called Maxwell an essential part of Epstein&#8217;s trafficking operation, not a side character. Neighbors later described a long driveway, a locked gate, former British military contractors on security, and almost no traffic. When agents announced themselves at a window on July 2, 2020, prosecutors say Maxwell moved for another room and shut the door. They breached. On a desk they found a phone wrapped in foil, a bad idea that still tells you she understood towers. Bradford Police Chief Edward Shaughnessy walked the team in. Locals told reporters they had no idea who had been living behind the trees. FBI files also show agents had chased a credit-card trail toward the town of Sutton before the phone data put her in Bradford. Distance from a camera and a clerk was the entire design. The main house stays private. The farmhouse takes $2,500 from anyone who wants the trees. The stone at the driveway can still say Tucked Away. What it cannot say, because the ad will not, is that a Swiss bank moved the purchase money after a child-sex-trafficking subpoena, that the buyer at the first closing was hiding from the FBI, and that the conviction stayed in place while the deed moved on.<\/p>\n<p>Banks describe these episodes as isolated failures of relationship management.
