UK mom killed husband after he sexually abused her children

(The AEGIS Alliance) – An infuriated British mother has been handed down a life sentence in prison because she killed her husband. The mom poured a blend of boiling water and sugar on her husband after someone informed her that he had sexually abused her 2 kids.

Prosecutors point out that 59-year-old Corinna Smith from Neston, a city near Liverpool, poured the very hot fluids over aged 80, Michael Baines, while he slept in their bedroom in 2020, the Liverpool Echo reported. Baines endured severe burns over a third of his body and eventually passed away weeks afterward as a result of his injuries.

Prosecution attorneys informed a local area court that the sugar “made the liquid more viscous, thicker and more sticky so that it stays on the skin and causes greater damage.”

Smith, apparently “livid” and also “fuming” at information about her partner’s purported predacious actions, blended 2 teakettles of water with 3 bags of sugar prior to pouring the piping hot liquid on Baines while he was asleep in their bed.

He passed away at the medical center 5 weeks afterward following several surgical operations as well as skin grafts.

Smith’s daughter professed that Baines sexually assaulted her as well as her brother “for many years when they were children.” The daughter’s sibling named Craig had committed suicide in 2007 and had been put behind bars on an assault conviction.
