No foul play suspected in missing man’s death who was found wrapped in plastic, rolled into rug
(The AEGIS Alliance) – This week, the lifeless body of a man from Georgia, aged 42, was discovered on the side of a road in Baton Rouge, Louisiana after he had been missing for several days.
The Baton Rouge Police Department held a press conference on Tuesday, March 7 to confirm that the remains of Nathan Millard, who had been missing since February 23, had been identified. The body of Millard was located on Monday, March 6 on the 2900 block of Scenic Highway. Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul provided these details during the conference.
After conducting an autopsy, the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office released a preliminary report stating that there was “no indication of any internal or external injuries” found on the body.
The final autopsy results, which will include toxicology tests, are still pending.
Captain Kevin Heinz presented a detailed timeline at the news conference, outlining the events that occurred before Millard’s disappearance. According to Heinz, Millard was last seen leaving a downtown establishment at around 10:30 p.m. The surveillance footage confirmed that he was in downtown Baton Rouge before he eventually ended up at a Greyhound station. The security guard at the station offered to help him, but Millard refused.
The last known sighting of Millard was captured on video cameras at around 4:30 a.m.
WVLA-TV reported that Millard’s body was discovered wrapped in plastic and rolled up in a rug. While Captain Kevin Heinz stated that they currently have no evidence of foul play, investigators are still trying to determine how Millard ended up at that location the way he was found.
