(The AEGIS Alliance) – A man in Colorado who was released from prison on parole for kidnapping as well as for sexual assault apparently sexually assaulted one more young girl after he impersonated an immigration authority, the Aurora Police Department stated on Tuesday.
65-year-old Kenneth Dean Lee is facing charges for the sexual assault of a child and also first-degree burglary.
Detectives say Lee preyed on immigrants, including refugee families, and stated that Lee has a “disturbing criminal history.”
Lee had been apprehended in 2014 and was found guilty of a comparable assault, once more impersonating an immigration representative. Lee had been sentenced to 23 years behind bars and was discharged on parole last year in April.
18th Judicial District Attorney John Kellner’s office had prosecuted the case against Kenneth Dean Lee, stating he had been “incredibly frustrated” that Lee got released from prison early as well as “given an opportunity to offend again.”
“I think we deserve answers from the Department of Corrections, the Parole Board, and the Sex Offender Management Board. I want to know how a convicted sex offender who was found to be a sexually violent predator by the judge was released so early and apparently without adequate monitoring,” John Kellner pointed out on Tuesday.
“These victims and their families, and every parent, deserve to know what DOC and the Parole Board are doing to prevent something like this from happening in the future,” Kellner added.
Kenneth Dean Lee had earlier been charged with a number of sexual offenses against young Vietnamese girls and adult women during the mid-1990s.
