Pennsylvania deli warns motorists of speed trap ‘Cop hides behind this sign’

(The AEGIS Alliance) – A Pennsylvania deli owner came up with a brand-new witty technique to tell passing vehicle drivers to take their foot off the gas and slow down, snitch on the neighborhood police officers!

The sign in Bridgeville outside of PJ’s Deli reads, “Slow down. The cop hides behind this sign.”

Yet, the local cops haven’t taken any offense by it.

Simply put, the Bridgeville Police Department found the sign to be so entertaining that they posted a photo of the sign on Facebook, along with an officer’s SUV stationed in the parking lot hiding behind the sign and also relatively positioned to chase after speedy drivers.

“Well…. I guess the jokes on us!!” the department wrote. “Good one PJ’s Deli!!”

Pam Wheat, who owns the deli, pointed out that, while the sign might seem to undermine the police officers, what it really means is to make their work much easier through attempting to reduce hazardous driving.

“It was put up as a joke, and they came and parked a cruiser behind the sign and took their own picture,” Pam Wheat said to Fox News.

“We see accidents almost daily on our corner because it’s a bad intersection,” Pam Wheat claimed. “But they do not use my property to hide so you can let that secret out of the bag.”

Besides, PJ’s deli gets along simply great with the neighborhood police officers.

“I thought this was great because it shows we can laugh at ourselves,” Bridgeville Police Chief Chad King said.
