(The AEGIS Alliance) – The $19 million mansion house in Montreal that belongs to a MindGeek founder, the business that owns Pornhub, was actually burnt to the ground in flames this past weekend, and authorities are suspicious of arson being involved.
The property, that was still being built, was entirely ruined, even with the efforts of greater than 80 firemen that responded to the three-alarm blaze, according to CTV News. The fire was called in at around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday and was controlled by about 2:30 a.m.
The damages were actually “very extensive,” Realtor Joseph Montanaro informed CTV News on Monday. “Everybody is in shock.”
The property owner, PornHub co-owner Feras Antoon, has come under great scrutiny for apparently publishing unlawful web content, consisting of affirmed rape and sexual assault online videos. In March 2020 much more than 400,000 individuals signed an internet petition implicating the sexual activity internet site of making money off such video clips, which the petition pointed out consisted of “sex trafficking and child rape” depictions, and also made an effort to get the website taken offline.
In December 2020, Pornhub removed more than two-thirds of its own web content after significant organizations that included Visa and Mastercard ceased serving the internet site.
Montreal authorities are looking for a pair of male suspects, and there is an ongoing investigation into the incident. Some surrounding properties were evacuated as a safety measure, police spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils said. No injuries have been disclosed.
