Sheriff: Florida Man teacher traveled to solicit sex with 2-year-old

(The AEGIS Alliance) – WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA – A Florida Man elementary school teacher is being charged with allegedly soliciting online to have sex with a 2-year-old and also took a trip to meet the very young child.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office stated in a press release that 28-year-old Xavier Donte Alexander was apprehended Thursday on felony charges of soliciting a minor for sex and traveling to meet a minor for the purpose of having sex. Alexander is a 4th-grade teacher at Grove Park Elementary School in Palm Beach Gardens as well as additionally advertises as a babysitter on some internet sites.

On Friday, Alexander was jailed on a $1 million bond amount at a court hearing. The Palm Beach County Public Defender’s Office is representing him in court.

The Palm Beach County School District released a declaration stating it is “shocked and appalled” by the allegations and is cooperating with authorities. The district stated that Alexander is now suspended pending the result of the investigation and that authorities are looking into whether Alexander’s accused criminal activities took place at the school. It stated it has alerted parents, as well as families, and that they’re being provided with support services.

If found guilty on both charges, Alexander faces up to 20 years behind bars.
