(The AEGIS Alliance) – PORT ST. LUCIE, FLORIDA – 30-year-old Florida Man Jethro Genius is facing charges of trafficking phenethylamines after he tried to pass off illicit drugs as baking ingredients on Monday, according to CBS 12 News.
Geneus’ was pulled over by police at around 3 a.m. when officers noticed he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, then Mr. Geneus came up with a half-baked plan.
Geneus was taken out of his carafter authorities saw a backpack in the passenger seat of his vehicle. Officers found two big bags of a white and brown substance, accompanies by a weigh scale.
Police said Geneus insisted he was merely carrying “sugar and a bag of corn starch to bake a cake,” but the substances were tested and both came up positive for ecstasy, with a hefty combined weight of 299.5 grams.
To top it all off, Geneus had yet a different bag stuffed full of a substance that ended up testing positive for methamphetamines.
