75 Years in Prison for Illinois Woman in Child Sexual Assault Case
(The AEGIS Alliance) – EDWARDSVILLE – ILLINOIS – An age 38 woman from Bethalto, Illinois will certainly be spending the rest of her life behind bars for the sexual assault of two children between 2016 and 2018, according to a press release on Tuesday by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Andrea Leisgang was handed down a 75-year prison sentence for the sexual assault of two juveniles between 2016 and 2018, according to KMOV and KTVI.
In December of 2018 Leisgang was indicted and faced criminal charges of nine sexual assault counts, and six counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child. She gave a guilty plea in court to one count of predatory criminal sexual assault and one count of sexual assault.
Andrea’s husband named Jeremy Leisgang also faced an indictment in 2018 and was charged with 15 counts of sexual assault and 13 counts of predatory sexual assault of a child.
Four victims were sexually abused by the married couple according to prosecutors, one juvenile boy and three juvenile girls that began in 2016 in the couple’s home.

Jeremy Leisgang was sentenced to 40 years in prison after he pleaded guilty in October 2019 to four counts of sexually assaulting a child.
