Virginia Father Beat Up Man in Bedroom Allegedly Molesting His Kids

VIRGINIA – A father from Virginia brutally beat up a man on Sunday after catching him in the act of allegedly molesting his two young kids, according to police.

The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office received a call on Sunday morning about a disturbance and responded to it at a residence in Spotsylvania County in the 6800 block of Luce Lane, according to a press release by the sheriff’s office.

When deputies arrived at the scene, it was chaotic. A 60 year old man who was identified at Mark Stanley, suffered severe injuries to his face. There was another man who was holding a handgun and approached Mr Stanley.

Deputies gave a command to the second man and told him to drop his gun, and he did, the sheriff’s office reported. The second man told deputies that Mr Stanley had been visiting the family during the holidays. He told authorities he’d caught Stanley in his children’s bedroom and that Mr Stanley was “nude from the waist down.” The two young children are only 2 and 3 years of age.

When the dad asked what he was doing in the kid’s bedroom, Mr Stanley allegedly shoved the concerned father out of the room and locked the door behind him. Then the father forced his way into the bedroom and started severely beating Stanley, sheriff’s reported.

The bruised and beaten Mark Stanley was transported to a nearby hospital and treated for his injuries, but afterwards was taken into police custody and jailed at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. Mr Stanley is facing two charges of taking indecent liberties with a child and assault.

“The deputies’ intervention may have saved Stanley’s life,” said Sheriff’s Captain Liz Scott, the Fredericksburg Free Lance- Star reports.

The two young children were taken to a local hospital and were evaluated for possible injuries. Their father is not being charged with a crime. There is currently an ongoing investigation into this case.
