Police: 16 Trapped People Rescued on SeaWorld Skyride

(The AEGIS Alliance) – 16 people who were trapped on a SeaWorld gondola skyride have been rescued.

According to FOX5 News, the San Diego police said that around six gondolas stopped functioning on Monday night when a big gust of wind had tripped a circuit breaker on the “Bayside Skyride.”

It was estimated that around 15 to 30 people had become trapped on the ride. Some of the people were suspended above water in the gondolas. Out of those people, 16 of them had to be rescued.

The riders were rescued by lifeguard boats after being lowered by harnesses. Medical crews then evaluated them for any injuries.
