A man in Louisiana being asked on live television about what he’d do if he won the lottery claimed he’d buy a new car that’s supercharged, and a large amount of cocaine. At least one of the two is legal.
Kori Johnson, a news reporter for KSLA, needed to think quickly when a guy she interviewed at a convenience store said to her frankly just how he’d spend his jackpot money had he won big in Monday’s Powerball lottery drawing. The jackpot was close to $700 million.
“Well, I’m definitely going to get a new supercharged Mustang with dual exhaust and about 5 kilos of cocaine, and I’ll be good to go,” the customer claimed.
Without skipping a beat, Johnson, that signed up to work with the TV station back in July, responded with “OK, so you like cars?”

She looked back at the video camera grinning, her guest affirmed that he indeed likes cars, then they concluded the news portion pretty smoothly.
It appears that the interviewee was unable to win the Powerball jackpot numbers. The lucky ticket was actually bought in California by one winner that possesses the choice of taking that amount of money through an annual 29-year payment plan or all at once for a $496 million lump sum.
According to Car and Driver, a 2021 Ford Mustang GT500 possesses a supercharged engine that generates “a thrilling soundtrack through its bazooka-like exhaust pipes.” It costs almost $74,100. Narcoticsnews.com indicates that 5 kilos of cocaine are worth an estimated $150,000 in the state of Louisiana.
