Oklahoma woman allegedly lied about boy’s cancer treatment to get money

(The AEGIS Alliance) – An Oklahoma woman, age 46, is implicated in lying regarding a young boy in her custody’s cancer treatment and obtaining funds by means of internet contributions for his treatment.

The Poteau Police Department posted on Facebook on Wednesday pertaining to Ariana Noelle Gregg being arrested as well as the accusations against her.

Police stated Gregg’s spouse called the cops after Gregg and the age 6 boy in her custody left Oklahoma on May 25 and also stated they traveled to the Memphis, Tennessee Saint Jude Children’s Hospital for the boy’s cancer treatment.

The statement notes the unidentified woman that reported Gregg to the police discovered they did not go to Saint Jude, and that Gregg purportedly “made false claims about the boy’s cancer.”

Gregg as well as the child had instead apparently taken a trip to Saginaw, Michigan with an acquaintance that Gregg knew.

Poteau Police worked together with the Leflore County DHS Child Welfare Services, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, as well as the FBI to find Gregg as well as the child, that had actually been found in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Indiana child welfare services took the young boy into custody. Gregg was discharged during the time due to the fact that a warrant hadn’t been issued during that time.

The Poteau Police arrested Gregg on June 1 for an outstanding warrant on charges of child abuse.

The police pointed out that Gregg “used various online and social media platforms to solicit donations under the guise of funding the boy’s treatment expenses.”
