(The AEGIS Alliance) – Federal authorities showed off the results of raids in Southern California that happened earlier this month which led to the largest domestic seizure of methamphetamine in the history of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

On Wednesday, the DEA said it seized a total of 2,224 pounds of meth on October 2 during an investigation into a drug-trafficking organization with ties to the Sinaloa cartel.

Warrants were served in Riverside County in Moreno Valley and Perris at stash houses. This wasn’t the only big meth seizure in the region.

On October 9, U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized over 3,000 pounds of meth and some fentanyl at San Diego’s Otay Mesa border crossing.
